I like Apple notes because simple and efficient is more important than features and optimization. Plus, Google (eventually) sunsets whatever service you currently love.
Apple Notes holds shopping lists and Christmas lists. About halfway through the year I’ll start to get ideas for what the kids might like for Christmas and they go into the note. The Notes app holds links quite nicely and pictures get added with a breeze.
Each week when I talk to my dad I’ll add a note about what he’s been up to. I track things to do in notes called “Week X”. It shows what I did each week (or didn’t do) and it’s easy to look at the calendar and then look back at Week 35 (August 23-29).
All that said, I would love bidirectional linking. I want the there and back digital link to quickly hop around. The >> gets me part of the way there.
